Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is an autonomous body functioning under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. Since its inception in 1965, the Kendriya Vidyalayas (Central Schools) have come to be known as centres of excellence in the field of school education promoting national integration and a sense of INDIANNESS among the children while ensuring their total personality development and academic excellence. KVS, BENGALURU REGION is one among the 25 Regions that connects 52 Kendriya Vidyalayas (including 2nd shift in KV Malleswaram, Bengaluru) dotted on the landscape of Karnataka.
52,778 students have enrolled in the schools of Bengaluru Region as on 31-5-2020. The schools admit the wards of the employees of Defence Personnel, Central Government organisations, Central Government Autonomous bodies and state Government offices. Children from the private sectors also can be admitted subjected to the availability of vacancies.
THE REGION HAS PRODUCED 98.85% RESULT IN CLASS XII AND 99.92% IN CLASS X DURING CBSE-2018-19. We also strive for co-scholastic excellence in cultural activities, sports and games, Scouts and Guides, Adventure activities and all competitions related to intelligence.
