    About Us Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is an autonomous body functioning under the Ministry of Education (formerly Ministry of Human Resource Development), Government of India. Since its establishment in 1965, Kendriya Vidyalayas have earned a distinguished reputation as centres of excellence in school education. They promote national integration, foster a deep sense of Indianness, and focus on the holistic development of students while ensuring academic excellence.

    The KVS Bengaluru Region is one of the 25 regions across India. It oversees 54 Kendriya Vidyalayas, including one second shift school at KV Malleswaram, spread across the state of Karnataka.

    As of 31st August 2025, the Bengaluru Region has an enrolment of 58,404 students. Admissions are primarily offered to the children of Defence personnel, employees of Central Government organisations, Autonomous bodies, and State Government offices. Children from the private sector are also considered for admission, subject to the availability of vacancies.

    THE REGION HAS PRODUCED 99.29% RESULT IN CLASS XII AND 99.83% IN CLASS X IN CBSE EXAMINATON 2025. We also place strong emphasisfor co-scholastic excellence in cultural activities, sports and games, Scouts and Guides, Adventure activities and all competitions fostering intelligence and creativity.
